ABOUT THE FOUNDER/LEAD TUTOR
Hello! I'm Carmelita Mason, B.A, M.Ed, M.A.T the proud owner and operator of K2E. With over 15 years of educational experience, including a decade as a preschool teacher in the Troy School District, my focus is always on the students. Safety is my top priority, and I’ve worked with children aged 2 ½ to 15. I enjoy engaging in crafts and games, believing that hands-on fun is the best way to learn. As a lifelong educator at heart, I am committed to full involvement with children as this truly reflects my philosophy as a caregiver. I hold a bachelor's in communication and dual master's degrees in early childhood education and teaching in reading and language arts. I look to meeting you!
K2e does not follow a specific curriculum; instead, we prioritize a student-centered approach.
SERVICES OFFERED
To make tutoring affordable for new families of elementary and middle schoolers, sessions are $50 per hour per child. The tutoring session fee reflects the comprehensive, personalized support we provide to each elementary and middle school student. This fee includes travel to your home, intentional lesson planning, customized learning activities, and dedicated one-on-one instructional time with your child.

HOMESCHOOLING
Bringing The Classroom into Your Home
For those parents who prefer learning to take place at home instead of a school. Homeschooling allows you to take all the time you need to ensure learning is taking place at your child's pace. A plan is made for each individual child for all subjects.
ONLINE VIRTUAL TUTORING

We tailor our Online Tutoring lesson to fit each of students’ unique needs and circumstances. It is interactive learning through Zoom or FaceTime. Choice of 30 minutes or 1 hour sessions

For the parents who have children that require a little help in certain subject areas. In-home tutoring schedules requires a minimum of 1 hour a week. We take a comprehensive and collaborative approaches in creating a plan and program that is right for each one of my students. Adjusting to different personalities and specific academic needs, We always find what works best.

•Referral information (if necessary)
•2 subject assistance
•Minimum of 1 hour a week total required (can request more)
•1 or 1 1/2-hour sessions•Virtual
•1 notebook, tutoring envelope for materials, pencils
•If your child requires specific materials or manipulatives based on assessment, it will be recommended but parents will need to provide.
